Wow. And that is and understatement. What can I say. I had a great trip. I saw incredible places and spent time with an incredible woman. What else can I ask for? I knew that we would get along wonderfully and we did. Just being around her is magical. Lots of sparks! It was great just to goof off with her. She is the first person to really ever challenge me. And I am up to the challenge. I can not say enough about her. I got sick and she took care of me. We cooked together. I helped her around the house some. We watched movies, played games, did puzzles. We played alot of cards, especially on the bus rides to Hampi and Mysore. She beat me plenty in gin. I will teach her poker next. Hmmm maybe strip poker. I have incentive to win :)

I will start posting pics soon on here and webshots. Although, no pics of her. She deleted them all. :)

Guess what. I am going to India

I am going to see Anisha in India for 2 weeks in July. I am looking very much to seeing her. India is not a place I would think of going for some relaxation time and holiday, but as Anisha tells me it is because I really don't know what India has to offer. I am biased by the sterotypical western views of India I guess. I am very open to going and there are beautiful places to see. And I am going to see them and love every minute of it.

What about going to Europe or somewhere else. Well, very good question. What about those places. Simple, she is not there. The main reason I am going is to see her and spend time with her. So I don't care where I will be, as long as I am spending time with her. However, I really do want to see some places in India. We wont be able to see everything, but that is OK. We plan on going to Mysore. We are also going to a place called Hampi.

If there was time I would love to see the Taj MAhal, but it is too far away. Love to go to Goa. Anisha said it was great. I am sure I will see plenty of wonderful things. I will take lots and lots and lots of pictures. It is going to be fab. I can not wait.

So, after India, I want to go to Greece or Santorini, Italy and South Africa. Those are the hihest on my list. But if something else comes up then great.

In a few weeks I am off. I have tickets, visa, passport, vaccines, and time off. So Inida, here I come. :)

It has been awhile

Wow, it has been awhile since my last post and I have been up to a lot of different things.

WORK

Christian left and went to Apple, so I had to pick up all of the replication software packages. More work for me. But I am working on training people so I don't have to.
Ben left and went to Adobe. He is a localization manager over there.
So Both Ben and Christian left, went to companies they love, good for them.
So what about me you might ask. Well, I am getting lots of interest in my resume. I updated it online and talked to several companies to see what they have to say. Some were pretty good. So no decisions for me on anything yet.

PLAY

Still going to the Mission Ale House on Thursday nite.
Still playing cards every other week.
Still loving go for a drive.
PLay computer games, but not alot. I might spend a day here and a day there but not too often.

SOCIAL

First and foremost I am still talking to the most amazing and beautiful woman I have ever met. She is great. We still talk basically everyday, although Ihave been getting a little more sleep than I used to. I do need to rest occasionally. There will be more on this topic next post.
Anyone else? No. Is there interest in me? Yes. So why don't I? I don't want to. It is that simple.

So what else have I been up to. Spending time with my great friends. Marc and Kelli. Brian and Tricia. Chris and Julie. and Ben.

That has been my life. I am happy and doing well. I don't need much and I don't ask for much.
And that is OK!

Well, today is another great day. Went to the doctor to check on my elbow, I have bursitus of the elbow. It is from some sort of trauma, but I have no idea how I did it. But it is doing better, but for some strange reason my blood pressure is extremely high today. Again, don't know why. It was not high on Friday when I went to the doctor originally. Well, I will keep an eye on it. I am almost finished a book I am reading, recommended by Anisha. I will finish it today. Good book. Then on to number 2 out of 3.

Lets see anything else going on. I paid Melissa the $5000 for alimony. That is now complete. I do not owe her another dime, for anything. However, because the divorce was final in the year 2004, the 23nd of Dec to be exact, for taxes the whole counts as single. Well, the first half of the year I was claiming married. So now I owe $1500 in taxes. Just another way of getting screwed over in this whole thing. But to look on the brightside it is over. I am onto better things in my life. I have great family and friends. I am blessed, so what else could I ask for. Nothing. Everything else I am making happen myself.

This is the new me, very postivie outlook on everything. There is always something good with something bad. The challenge is to find it and focus on that. So, my silver lining is that I am on to a better life for myself. I am all the reassurance I need.

Not a bad day today. Steelers won, barely. Falcons win big. Go Falcons. I had lunch with Brian and Tricia at BJ's. Nice I had Fish and salad. It was pretty ggod, but I got to play with Briana. She smiled alot at me and was playing with me. She is so precious. Went to the movie iwth Marc and Kelli. We saw Million Dollar Baby wiht Hillary Swank, Morgan Freeman, and Clint Eastwood. It was a very good dramatic movie. Ending was sad. But the movie was very good. Saw some previews of some movies that I want to see. I will see them some time. Anyway, I am going to get ready for bed and read.

Whats New on January 9th 2005

Well, not much new here for me. Still talking to an incredible, amazing, beautiul woman. WOW is such an understatement. One day I may post a pic, but then again maybe not :).

What can I say about her, not enough. She really gets to me. WE connect very very well, but yet also not in a hurry for anything serious. Too many other things to take care of first. Which I understand.

What else is new, well Marc and Kelli want to go to the movies tonight and invited me, so I will go. Been cleaning my house this weekend and doing laundry. Still need to finish cleaning my desk. Ouch, what a mess it is. I will clean some of it today, while listening to music. I bought the movies Troy and King Arthur last nite. Watched Troy. I really like that movie.

Supposed to meet up with Brian and Tricia, i guess next weekend. Still need to go up and see Chris and Julie also. Been far too long since I have seen them. I should call them.

Talked to my dad yesterday. He is hanging in there. Not much new there. Called Amanda, but was unable to talk to her. I will try again later.

Well, thats about it. :)

Well, if you did not know, my divorce from Melissa is now finalized on Dec 22nd. That is fine, no problem there. Just kind of lonely for female companionship. I am not worried about it, I expect to be alone for a very long time, but it is nice to be able to hold someone and be held. But oh well. I have myself, and that is enough. So, I will be alright. I am on to new bigger and better things. 2005 should be a good year for me :) , we will see.

Well, 2005 is here. I am glad 2004 is over, not one of my best years, but then again, also a blessing in disguise.

I just got back from Atlanta and Kansas City. I have been helping take care of my newborn twin nephews Jake and Will. They are great.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Especially my sister and the new additions to the family William and Jacob :)

I just want to thank everyone who invited my to spend the holidays with them, I am blessed to have so many people care about me. :) This year has definitely been full of trials and tribulations and I am happy to say I have survived them all and doing quite well thank you. I have so many dear friends and work to keep me more than occupied. Now I have twin nephews to visit in Kansas City, and there is, well you know who you are :).

Tomorrow nite is the tree lighting of the San Jose Christmas in the Park, the 25th anniversary. Try a google search for 'san jose christmas in the park' should find something.

At 7:51 AM MST in Kansas City I welcome the addition to the family of my twin nephews William and Jacob Labasi. Everyone is healthy and doing fine. :) I will post more details later.

Well another late nite talking, and believe me when I say WOW guys! it seems like we just keep talking the nite away. And I hate talking on the phone. I have to tell you, if you need to make any type of over sees call use http://www.skype.com. The calls are so crystal clear, much better than using my cell phone.

One more day and I am officially an uncle, again. MY half brother has a son, but this is my full blood sister. I am much closer to her. Still no names, that I will tell, so for now they will be Rip and Runt.

Well Marc just called, so I am off to catch the walking train to work :) ta ta for now.

A New Chapter in my life

I am finishing up a chapter in my life, and I can now say that I am happy. A friend helped me see the light, and I did. I realized, I am actually OK with things. I wished her and her new man in her life well and much happiness. And I meant it. I know that I have moved on from her.

So what is next for me. Well a couple of things.

MY sister Allison is having her twin sons delivered on Wed, Nov 17, 2004. Twin sons. I will post the names after I know which will be which. :)
I have started talking to an amazing woman. She affects me on an intellectual level like I have never been before. And to me, that is sexy as hell. There is no rushing this. I need time to finish getting my life back in order. Which it is coming along nicely. After talking to this amazing person, I am seeing things in a way I never have before. So, for now we will keep talking and talking ( over 24 hours this weekend alone). And if the timing is right, then who knows. But at the very least, I know I have met someone that has instantly made a very postive impression on my life, and for that I am grateful.

So, what else is next. I am not sure. Do I stay here in California, do I move elsewhere. I don't know yet. But I am excited to find out what this life has in store for me. I want and deserve to be happy, and I am happy now and will be even happier in the future. I am examining my options.

Erik, Tania, River, and baby to be (I call baby Zen) have arrived safely in Rockton Illinois, Erik has started his new job. Never knew a fellow from the mid west would turn out to be one of my best friends. But he is, and I will miss his company in the lab and our Mission Ales.

But will I ever get married again, well that is another post, several years from now. I am in no hurry to get married again, but I know that I will love again and be loved again.

It has been some time since I last posted and all kinds of things have changed.

Bush won his 2nd presidential term. Lovely, not. Nothing I can do about that now.
My Georgia Bulldogs are still in contention, the play #3 Auburn this weekend. Another huge football game.
Work is still going great.
The San Jose Earthquakes are staying in San Jose at least for 1 more season.
Erik Sterud, my close and dear friend, has moved back to Illinois today. I will miss seeing him everyday at work and hanging out. We went to many soccer games, many nights at Mission Ale and Sisha. But he is onto better things for him and his family, so I can't fault him in that.
That one is a surprise to be revealed in later posts. But b/c of this, I am seeing things in a much different, more clear, light than I have in quite awhile. And for that I can sincerely say Thank you so much!!

There is more, but you will have to stay tuned for the rest. :)

I am off to cards, playing poker tonight with a great bunch of guys. So many great stories from them. :)

Bad weekend for Georgia Sports

Well, bad weekend for my teams.

Georgia got beat by Tennesse, but Georgia Tech did beat Maryland.

Atlanta Falcons got beat by the Detroit Lions.

and the Atlanta Braves got eliminated by the Houston Astros.

Oh well. Falcons and Bulldogs need to step it up now. :)

Today is Saturday and I am up to the normal. Cleaned house, did laundry, watched football. And how bout Dem Dawgs!!!!! #3 UGA 45 #12 LSU 10. My Bulldogs dismantled last years co-national champions LSU Tigers.

Next step fop the Bulldogs is the Tennesse Volunteers between the Hedges in Athens GA. next week. The #9 Volunteers are in this weeks Marquee Matchup against the #8 Auburn Tigers. SEC Football is where college football reigns supreme.

My Atlanta Braves knocked the Chicago Cubs out of the MLB Baseball playoffs.

And oh yeah, Mount St. Helens has been upgraded to LEvel 3 Volcanic Alert. Eruption eminant within 24 hours. Lets keep our eyes on this one.

Cnn reports that Mount St. Helens is spewing smoke and ash and raised to the Volcanic Alert to level 3, one step below eruption. Level 3 means that eruption is imminent. The Washington Post is calling this an eruption, very interesting. This is the first eruption in 18 years.

According to scientists, there is reported movement of the lava dome. There have been more than 1000 earthquakes along the coast in the last week, which is the most activity since 1986 when Mount St. Helens last spewed lava from its crater. We should keep a close eye on this as it develops.

There have been a series of Earthquakes hitting Central California in the last hour, the most powerful being a 6.0. Reported by the USGS. KTVU reports that it was a 5.9 with several smaller aftershocks. No wonder my knee has been hurting. :)

Ode to the Soccer Hooligan

Mount St. Helens, is it going to erupt again?

According to the US Geological Survey Mount St. Helens has been having a swarm of earthquakes over the weekend. This is a similar indicator of the evernts that took place in May of 1980.

Less than an hour ago the Voice of America posted a volcanic alert for the region. Lets keep an eye on this events as they progress.

Erik and I went to the San Jose Earthquakes vs L.A. Galaxy MLS soccer game on Saturday night and had a blast. We have been to the last 5 or 6 homes games. This was a big rivalry, in fact the police had to kick several people out. We had out faces painted and were filmed by the crew for several minutes. I do not know if we made it on tv or not. But I hope so. We were screaming and cheering and yelling to keep the Earthquakes in San Jose. Lets hope that our enthusiasm helps pay off. Next home game for Erik and myself, which is the last regular season home game is Oct 9th vs KC Wizards.
So Erik and I need to get our tickets for that game and playoff games. :) Go Earthquakes.

Interesting article about a cosmic fender-bender between galaxy clusters in the Hydra Constellation. This is the largets of such collisions ever recorded.
BTW, a light year is equivalant to 1 trillion miles, and is the distance light can travel in 1 years time in space.

Mission Ale Tuesday

Another day in my new brave world. 5 1/2 mos and counting. Anyhoo,
tonight is the typical Mission Ale House Extravaganza. Basically every
Tuesday night some co-workers and I head over to Mission Ale for
dinner and drinks for Happy Hours :). Then occasionally we head over
to Shisha, the hookah bar. It is very relaxing. Anyway, we have been
doing this for the last couple of months. We sit in the outside patio
at Mission Ale. So that is where you can find us.
